Waste Management of PA, Inc. is the City's contracted service.  Call Waste Management at 1-800-458-4090 to set up an account, cancel service, order a recycling container or to report a missed pickup or other problem.

Weekly Residential Schedule:
Monday is the designated pickup day for City residents.
Holiday Schedule:
Pickup is delayed untill Tuesday following Memorial Day and Labor Day; and if Independence Day, Christmas or New Year's Day should fall on a Monday.
Quarterly Payment Collection Schedule at City Hall:

A Waste Management Representative will be at City Hall once each quarter from 9 a.m. until 12 noon to collect residential payments.  Remember, a discount of 2% is available to customers paying for the entire year in January and Seniors over 65 years of age who are the head of household are entitled to receive a 15 % discount on their rate provided they furnish Waste Management a copy of their driver's license or another acceptable form of proof of age. 

Dates for Payment Collection by a Waste Management representative at City Hall in 2017 are:  Thursday, January 19th;  Thursday, Apri1 20th;  Thursday, July 20th and Thursday, October 19th.

Residential Service: 

Residential service in the City of Greensburg includes weekly unlimited household trash collection as well as, streamlined recyclable collection of recyclable materials  that will fit into one (1) Waste Management issued recycling container, and grass clippings. If you do not have a recycling container at your residence, Waste Management, Inc. will deliver one to you upon request by calling 1-800-458-4090.  In addition, each residence is allowed one (1) large item per month to be placed out for collection on the regular pickup day, at no additional charge, i.e., a couch, an appliance (with freon removed), a mattress.  Construction materials and e-Waste (see below) are not included.

Residential On-Call Door-To-Door e-Waste and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection:

As part of the residential solid waste and recycling contract, Waste Management, Inc. collects and disposes of residential household generated special materials safely, easily and responsibly.  To participate you must do the following:  to Participate, you must set up a collection appointment.  There are three ways to schedule a collection: call 1-800-449-7587 (Mon - Fri, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Eastern Time); or click the following link to www.WMAtYourDoor.com or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. Residential Bundled Branches and Bagged Brush and Yard Waste Collection:
During the months of June, July, August and September, Waste Management also collects bagged leaves and brush or branches cut in 4-ft. lengths and bundled out with regular trash and recyclables.

Companies recycling electronics in PA must have R2 or similar certification that assures the public that any information contained in recycled devices is protected until the time the device is destroyed, and that human health and the environment are protected at all steps during the recycling process, whether the recycling occurs in the US or abroad.l
