Introducing 'Meter Feeder'
Parking patrons in the City can download the free 'Meter Feeder' app giving them a smartphone option to pay for metered parking downtown and near the hospital. Color-coded on-street meters downtown will limit customer parking in one zone for a maximum of 2 hrs. using the app. Meters around the hospital campus will allow parking up to 10 hours using the app. For all the details click the following link to access the press release: Meter Feeder and visit their site at www.meterfeeder.com that also accepts credit card payments for parking tickets. Luminary Night in downtown Greensburg is Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. Click the following link for details: Luminary Night
City Hall will be closed Friday, December 23rd and Monday, December 26th, 2016 in observance of Christmas and Monday, January 2nd, 2017 in observance of the New Year . The January Agenda Meeting will be moved to Tuesday, January 3rd at 4:30 p.m. The regular meeting of Council shall take place on Monday, January 9, 2017.
Vacancy on City Council
The City of Greensburg will be accepting letters of interest and/or resumes from City residents for a vacant council seat due to the resignation of Councilwoman Kathleen McCormick until 4 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Office of City Administration, Room 101, 416 S. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601. The person appointed to fill the vacancy shall take office immediately upon appointment and serve for the unexpired term of Mrs. McCormick until the Swearing-in Ceremony held in January,2018. Qualifications are included in the City's Home Rule Charter.
